| Q．[USB devices] I want to delete falsely recognized device information from OS.
|Devices (Peripheral equipments) does not work properly or do not work when
it is recognized incorrectly.
Following pictures are image of 3 incorrect recognition patterns.
1. Driver not recognized
When devices failed to be recognized by OS, “!” or ”?” appears on the icon
at Device Manager.
Devices need to be analysed by OS and installed programs (driver) to work with PC.
When “!” or “?” is shown on the icon, OS failed to analyse what the device is.
The device does not work.
2. No proper driver installed.
Some products require installation of additional driver programs.
Without additional driver, they run in limited ways or cause problems.
In addition, when you upgrade OS of the PC, you may install a special driver again,
even you already had installed a special driver, because of different OS.
Many products work properly with pre-installed Windows generic driver.
This problem occurs only with products which require additional drivers.
3. Driver file corrupted
Drivers are programs. They sometimes corrupt with several reasons.
Devices does not work properly with corrupted driver programs.
|Case1：Driver not recognized
||Need to install proper driver program
|Case2：No proper driver
||May be solved by re-installing driver
When driver program is corrupted, delete the driver once and restart your PC.
Driver will be refreshed.
|This method is effective for devices without additional driver programs also.
“Plug and play” products works with general driver of Windows.
Corrupted drivers may be replaced by refreshing drivers.
General drivers of Windows are included in OS itself.
Driver will not be destroyed by your “delete” operation.
